Drawing from my experience as an anthropologist working at the “Consulta do Migrante” at Hospital Miguel Bombarda in Lisbon, this text proposes a short reflection on the necessary dialogue between different fields of knowledge and different forms of relation to the Other, in a clinical setting. Problematizing the encounter with difference in an institutionalized service such as a hospital, the aim is to show the richness of the complex reality implicit in such an encounter between migrants and established health services.
A partir da experiência de trabalho enquanto antropóloga na “Consulta do Migrante” do Hospital Miguel Bombarda em Lisboa, este texto pretende ser uma pequena reflexão sobre o necessário diálogo, neste contexto terapêutico, entre diferentes campos do saber e diferentes formas de relação ao Outro. Trata-se de problematizar o encontro entre saberes e fazeres diferentes, com o intuito de por em relevo o enriquecimento resultante da tentativa de melhor adequação à realidade complexa do encontro entre migrantes e prestadores de cuidados de saúde.
