We report a case of a giant frontoethmoidal osteoma with orbital extension in a 55-year-old man who was referred to us by his general practitioner because of a long time facial deformity. A review of the literature is also presented.
Vascular leiomyoma is a benign smooth muscle tumor. lt is common in the uterus, alimentary tract, skin and subcutaneous tissue, but uncommon in the head and neck area. We report a case that involved the nasal cavity, an extremely rare location. Treatment options and a review of the literature are discussed.
Mucocele is a benign lesion with slow growth containing mucoid material. It is frequently found in the frontal and ethmoid sinuses. Clinical manifestations may range from asymptomatic to frontal cephalea, facial edema or asymmetry and ophthalmologic alterations as proptosis and reduced visual acuity. It is rarely bilateral. The authors present a case report of a 72 year old woman with a bilateral fronto-ethmoidal mucocele. A brief review of the literature is also included.
