O objectivo deste estudo é descrever o conhecimento epistemológico dos professores, através das suas concepções acerca das metodologias de ensino. Foi definida a população de professores de Biologia e Geologia que, no ano lectivo de 2009-2010, leccionava no âmbito das DRE do Alentejo e do Algarve. Aplicou-se uma versão modificada do INPECIP, de Martín del Pozo (1994). Os resultados revelam que os professores defendem posições coerentes com uma visão empirista, adoptadas acerca da imagem da ciência, considerando que se deve ensinar ciência seguindo, precisamente, uma sequência metodológica de natureza científica, pese embora que não se deva contrapor o pensamento vulgar ao pensamento científico. This paper initially recognises that the human body tends to implicate itself in the current triad in which it gains evidence (body, soul and spirit). Its discovery is, therefore, a difficult cognitive process. espetrais da fonte e considerando os efeitos de propagação das ondas sísmicas no percurso

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects mostly young infants. The purpose of this research was to achieve a prolonged drug release and the reduction of side effects with hydrocortisone-loaded nanoparticles (NPs), for AD treatment. Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) NPs were prepared by modified solvent displacement method and were characterized in terms of size, potential zeta, morphology, entrapment efficiency (EE), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometry and in vitro permeation studies using Franz cells. Toxicology of this nanosystem was also assessed. The obtained NPs EE showed an increased size and a more homogenous size distribution after loading and were negatively charged. EF was around 62%. A review of 161 patients who underwent Roux-en-Y biliary diversion and truncal vagotomy from 1978 to 1989 is performed under the double perspective: clinical and functional (using radionuclide semi-solid and liquid gastric emptying (GE) studies). In 46 patients this solution was adopted to treat different kinds of post-gastrectomy syndromes and in 115 to solve the esophageal-duodeno-gastric peptic disease. Some technical details are considered very important to prevent the nominated post Roux-en-Y Syndrome in relationship with the gastroparesis and gastric retention. The overall operative mortality was 2.5%. Five patients were reoperated: two, to complete vagotomy; 2, to solve gastric retention and one with sub-occlusion due to jejunal stricture. The concept of cooperative Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO), also referred
to as network MIMO, or as Coordinated Multi-Point Transmission (CoMP), was standardized in
3GPP Release 11. The goal of CoMP is to improve the coverage of high data rates and cell-edge
throughput, and also to increase system throughput. In this paper we analyze only the latter
scenario, using system level simulations in accordance with 3GPP guidelines. It is shown that the
use of joint coordinated multipoint transmission achieves additional throughput gains. However,
the gains depend on the scheduling type. This paper also indicates that the criterion of fairness
is an important parameter when the number of users is high.
